James E. Trogden Sr., 81, of Maceo, died February 14, 2014 at his home. He was born on June 9, 1932 in West Louisville to the late Harlan J. and Mary Fenwick Trogden. James was an Army veteran during the Korean War and retired as the Vice President of Manufacturing for Whitehall Furniture where he had 42 years of employment. He was of the Christian faith and will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. James also was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Trogden and a son, James E. Trogden Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah McCall Trogden of Maceo; children, Mark A. (Dorothy) Trogden of Owensboro; Sandra G. (Stephen) Coleman of Nashville, TN; William J. Trogden of Utica; and Jeffrey S. (Anita) Trogden of Olathe, KS; a daughter in law, Irene Trogden of Miles City, MT; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 PM on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory with Bro. Jim Allen presiding. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday and after 10 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to either the American Heart Association or Hospice of Western KY. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
