James Edgar "Ed" Tabor

James Edgar "Ed" Tabor, Jr, 69, of Owensboro, went to be with Jesus Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born November 5, 1947 in Montgomery, AL to the late James Edgar Tabor, Sr and Catherine Boswell Tabor. Ed was a husband, father, grandfather, history educator of 32 years and dedicated Bible teacher. He also loved his farm and cattle. Ed was a 1965 graduate of Owensboro High School and a life-long member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 45 years, Marian "Dukie" Wirth Tabor; a daughter, Gretchen Tabor (Donald) Butler of Madisonville, KY; a son, James "Eddie" Edgar (Lori) Tabor, III of Middlebury, IN; brother, Thomas N. (Lynda) Tabor; sister, Ann Stayton; six grandchildren, Cole Butler, Riley Kate Butler, Carigan Tabor, James Edgar "JT" Tabor IV, Reagan Butler and Grahm Tabor; nieces, Catherine (Eric) Sherrard, Cyndi Tabor (Nick) Settles, Christie Tabor (Eric) Fogle; and a loving extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM Monday at Settle Memorial UMC, with visitation after 10 AM. There will also be visitation Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory from 2 PM - 5 PM.
