Mr. James Jim Edward Stewart, Sr., 66, of Owensboro, KY, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2003. He was born October 27, 1937, to Charles M. and Rosalee Kremer Stewart, in Jefferson County.
He retired from the A & P warehouse in Louisville after 22 years of service, and 6 years with AAA Kentucky, Owensboro office. He was a active member of the Gideons International, Owensboro East Camp, where he served for many years in various state and local positions. He was a long time volunteer for the Owensboro Riverpark Center where he served as a floor manager for the past 11 years. He was a active member and adult Sunday school teacher at the First Free Will Baptist Church. His favorite hobbies were watching the Kentucky Wildcats basketball games and bowling with the Ministers and The New Generation bowling leagues.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Sandi Marie Mullikin, and her husband, Doug,of Owensboro, two sons, Charles Chuck Louis Stewart and James Jim Edward Stewart, Jr., and their wives, Patti and Laura, of Louisville, four granddaughters, one sister, Anna Marie Quill, and brother-in-law, Danny, two nieces, three nephews and a very close friend, Norine Westerfield.
Services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:30 till 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
