James Leo Stallings

June 9, 1953 — April 26, 2007

James Leo Bodine Stallings, Jr., 53, of 1714 Bluff Ave., Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late James Leo & Edna Earl Severs Stallings. He was of the Catholic faith and had been employed with Buskill Freight Lines as a forklift operator until he was disabled. He was a charter member of the Yellow Banks Fraternal Order of Eagles, a Kentucky Colonel, and a U. S. Navy veteran.

Surviving is his companion, Sharon Cook, her three children, Eric Cook, Jeffrey Cook, and Robin Cook, all of Owensboro, and six grandchildren, three sisters, Judy Miles and husband Freddie of Loretto, Ky., Becky Schienbein of Madison, In. and Karen Stiff and husband Ricky of Whitesville, two brothers, Eddie Stallings and wife Debby of Owensboro and Hugh Stallings of Nashville, Tn. and several nieces & nephews.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 30, at Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Meredith officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
