James E. Simon

James E. Simon, age 70, of Owensboro passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was born on April 4, 1942 in Owensboro.
James is preceded in death by his uncle and aunt who raised him, David and Irma McFarland; and a brother Donald Simon.
His is survived by two loving daughters, Leiann Simon ( Dave) Lashbrook of Utica and Krista Simon ( Paul) Wibbels of Mt. Washington KY. Two grandchildren, Alex Lashbrook of Lexington KY and John Lashbrook of Utica. He is also survived by an aunt, Patty (Dutch) Hamilton of Owensboro.
Family came first in James's life, especially his two grandsons. He enjoyed UK Basketball. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
