James OBrien Rutigliano

June 24, 1935 — May 22, 2003

James O. Jim Rutigliano, 67, of 3301 Meadowland Drive, Owensboro, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at his home. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and was retired from South Central Bell. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Fraternal Order of Police, and in the past had been a Judo instructor at the Y.M.C.A. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, listening to Country Western music, playing the guitar, U.K. basketball and football, target shooting, and building and flying Radio Controlled Model Airplanes. He was preceded in death by his father, James Douglas OBrien.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lois Jackson Rutigliano, his mother, Elizabeth Tucker O'Brien of Owensboro, 3 Daughters, Elizabeth Scott Rutigliano of Frankfort, Ky., Janie Rutigliano Butler of Shelbyville, Ky. and Kittie Rutigliano Hose of Springfield, IL.,, 7 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stained Glass Window Fund, c/o Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 4005 Frederica St., Owensboro, Ky. 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
