James Marvin Postlewaite

James Marvin "Jim" Postlewaite, 67, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 23, 1947 in Daviess Co., KY. Jim was retired from the City of Owensboro having served 26 years on the Owensboro Police Dept. as a Lieutenant with the Criminal Investigation Division. He had received an Associates Degree from Western Kentucky University and then attended Brescia College where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. After retiring from the police department, he managed the Daniel Pitino Shelter for five years. Jim was a U. S. Navy veteran, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Allen "Pip" Postlewaite on July 2, 1998.

Surviving are his wife, Tina Postlewaite, a son, James "Jay" Postlewaite and wife Sherry of Lexington, three daughters, Jaime Postlewaite of Owensboro, Susan Postlewaite Moseley of Lexington, and April Ratajczak and husband Wayne of Perth, Australia, his mother, Janice Luck Postlewaite of Owensboro, seven grandchildren, Jessiah, Brayden, Brody, Carter, and Lindsey Postlewaite, Ashley Grace Moseley, and Emily Ratajczak, a brother, Mike Postlewaite and wife Annette of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Thursday, August 27, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum . Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
