James Phipps
October 7, 1952 — March 25, 2008
James Oliver (Milkman) Phipps, 56, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mr. Phipps was a member of Bryant's Chapel in Whitesville, was a Forklift Supervisor at Lipton, loved to talk about the news and had a new joke everyday. He was known by everyone and everybody's friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Kegler Phipps, his parents, Leslie and Delora Drake Phipps, maternal grandparents, Lewis and Blanche Drake, and a brother, Anthony Phipps.
Services will be held at noon on Friday at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
