James Henry Parks

James Henry Parks, 62, of 5801 Ware Rd, Philpot, died Friday, January 31, 2003 at his home. The Butler County native was retired from the Owensboro Board of Education where he worked in Maintenance. He was an Army National Guard veteran serving on active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He is survived by his wife , Dorothy Alsup Parks; two sons, James Michael Parks of Owensboro and Robert Wayne Parks of Philpot; two daughters, Brenda Peay and Judy Calhoun both of Owensboro; five grandchildren; a brother, Wesley Parks of Owensboro ; and a sister, Louise Anthony of Owensboro.

Funeral services are 2 P.M. Monday, February 3, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-6 P.M. on Sunday and after 10 A.M. on Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hospice Association.
