James Everett Padgett

James Everett Padgett, 58, of Philpot, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at his home. He was born February 24, 1967, to the late Everett Earnest Padgett and Sandra Lynn Williams.

James enjoyed all things cars. As a certified mechanic, he found joy in working on cars, especially Chevelles, which he collected. James attended many Chevellabrations in his time, he also enjoyed drag racing and playing pool.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a son, James Timothy Padgett.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jonathan Taylor Padgett (Mollie), Ashly Ellyn Kelly (Martin) and Autumn Paige Padgett (Tyra); siblings, Tracy Cassaday and Everett Padgett; and stepfather, Daniel Hawes Wilhoyte.
