James Randall McBride

James R. (Randall) McBride, 73, of Owensboro, passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on March 6, 1939 in Daviess Co., KY. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and retired from Commonwealth Aluminum after 31 years of service. He loved to Bar-B-Que for his family and friends and had his own special Bar-B-Que sauce he made that he called the "McBride Special". Randall loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids spending as much time with them as he could. He was preceded in death by a son, Rick McBride on July 27, 2001, his parents, Cecil and Theresa McBride, a brother, J. M. McBride, and a sister, Mary Proctor.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Josie Mills McBride, a daughter, Pat (Bill) Weise of Utica, four sons, Joe (Glenda) McBride, Bobby (Gail) McBride, and Bruce (Elaine) McBride, all of Owensboro, and Jeff (Shavona) McBride of Jena, La., 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three sisters, Millie Reed-Kapp of Evansville, IN, Imogene Stull of Utica, and Becky Carrico of Owensboro, several loving brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 1, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be 5:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
