James D. Lashbrook, 67, of Owensboro, died Monday October 15, 2001 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born August 9, 1934 in Daviess County, Kentucky the son of the late James Phillip and Helen Patterson Lashbrook.
Mr. Lashbrook retired as an attorney from private practice and attended Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a public defender for 13 years, an Army veteran and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He graduated from Brescia College with a business administration degree and received his masters from Ohio State University.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Linda K. Lashbrook; three sons, James D. Lashbrook, Jr. of Utica, Greg Lashbrook of Reynolds Station and Brian Lashbrook of Owensboro; a daughter, Karen Lasher of Hawesville; a step-daughter, Buffy Quisenberry Bittel of Owensboro; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday October 18, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Dr. Glenn Sowards. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. His family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday October 17, 2001 and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
