James Calvin Klein, 82, of Leesburg, Fl (formerly of Owensboro) passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center. He was born in Hebron, ND; he was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and served in the US Navy and Seebees during World War II and was past Commander of the American Legion. He retired from Texas Gas in 1986 after 37 years of employment as a Corrosion Control Consultant and was a member of the KY Corrosion Control Association. He was a member and past president of the Daviess County Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anna Theresa Drury Tong Klein; sons, William Klein of Wilmington, DE, Gary Foster and Barbara of Batesville, IN, and Neal Tong and Terri Ann of Sorgho; daughters, Carrie Sue Allsbrooks of Earlington, KY, Tonya Vieira and Lou of Leesburg, FL, Cindy Ann Tong of Owensboro, and Terri Marie Newcom and Gary of Brandywine, MD; 11 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandsons, and two nephews, Bruce Klein and Marian of Williamsburg, VA, and Terry Klein and Sally of Helena, MT.
Services are 11 A.M. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Trinity Episcopal Church followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home.
