James W. Kinison

James W. Kinison Sr. of Owensboro, passed away on September 14, 2014. He was born on October 26 , 1949 to the late Hubert Lee and Mildred Ethel Ijames Kinison. James was a member of Cross Point Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, and his old car and truck. James retired in 2008 after 30 years at Aleris.

James was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara "Bobbi" Griffith.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Durbin; sons, James W. Kinison, Jr. and Jonathon S. Kinison; 5 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 3 step grandchildren; sisters, Margie Martin (Woody), Linda Scott, Sandy Jarboe, Jackie Blue, Betty Kinison Hayes, and Jeanie Rice; brothers, Gerald Kinison (Faye), Paul Kinison (Gerri), Hubert L. Kinison Jr. (Kathy), Eugene Kinison, and Thomas Kinson Sr.; also many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon on Wednesday at Cross Point Baptist Church with Bro. Ferrell Isenberg officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood at a later date. Visitation will be at 11 am on Wednesday at the church.
