James Lee Kimbley

James Lee Jim Kimbley, Sr. 77, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The Daviess Co. native was born September 23, 1928 to the late Charles William and Mary Iva Fenwick Kimbley. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and he enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his family.

Also preceding him in death were his grandson; Jamie Kimbley, his brothers; Winford Kimbley and William Kimbley and his sisters; Katherine Wedding, Elizabeth Shipman and Mary OBrien.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years; Rose Hayden Kimbley of Owensboro, his son; James Lee Kimbley, Jr. of Owensboro, his granddaughter; Paula Moseley of Owensboro, his grandchildren; Hayley Goatee, Jarred Gist, Anthony Bugg Pollard and Stevie and Shyann Gist all of Owensboro and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Meredith officiating. Burial will follow in St. Raphael Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2006 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service on Friday at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m.
