James L. Gilmore

March 10, 1926 — January 18, 2007

James L. Coodie Gilmore, 80, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 10, 1926 in McLean County, Mr. Gilmore was the son of the late Robert Lee and Mattie Roberts Gilmore; was retired from the Owensboro Daviess County Hospital where he worked in the Maintenance Department for 19 years and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Gilmore was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Gilmore in 1989.

He is survived by a daughter, Bobbie (and David) Reisz of Owensboro; a grandson, Brad Reisz of Owensboro; a brother, Deeny ( and Bonnie) Gilmore of Owensboro; and nieces and nephews, Bobby (and Patricia) Gilmore, Benjamin Atkinson, George Gilmore, Bess Kay (and James) Luttrell, Nadine Ranson, and Billie (and Vince) Wilhite all of Owensboro.

Services are 2 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. Saturday.
