James Thomas "Tom" Dixon passed away on April 10, 2015 in Owensboro with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 3, 1970 in Owensboro to the late Dr. John L. and Barbara Jo (Lindemann) Dixon.
He was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, Bellarmine College in Louisville, KY., and received his Master's Degree in entomology at the University of Kentucky. In 2007 he opened his business, Innovative Pest Solutions. Tom was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Owensboro. He lived with a strong faith in God and deep love for his family. He enjoyed his friends, hunting, fishing, and his work. Tom lived a life freely, making the most of every single day, sharing God's grace, love and mercy to everyone he encountered along the way.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his half sister: Ruth Dixon Allison, and half brother: John L. Dixon Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years: Kathy (Barker) Dixon, daughter: Mary Dixon, two sons: Joseph Dixon and Samuel Dixon, mom: Barbara Dixon, sister: Ann Marie Dixon of Evansville, IN.
Mass Services will be Monday April 13th, 2015 at 5:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Brad Whistle officiating. Visitation will be Sunday April 12th, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory from 2:00pm - 6:00pm with prayers beginning at 5:00pm.
