James William Dickens, age 70, of 1020 Holly Avenue, Owensboro, Kentucky, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was a retired custodian for Sutton Elementary after 13 years with Owensboro Board of Education. He attended the Church of God of Prophesy in Owensboro for 11 years. He volunteered his services at Owensboro Mercy Health System, and liked to fish. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Janice Woodward Dickens of Owensboro. He also leaves two sons,James Frederick Dickens,Eric William Dickens, three daughters,Gayla Sue Martin, Kelly Grace Burden, and Amanda Jean King, all of Owensboro. There are 111 grandchildren and five grandchildren surviving. Visatation will be held at Glenn Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Glenn Funerla Home Chapel. Burial will be in Owenwsboro Memorial Gardens.
