James Robert "Jadie" Davidson
James Robert "Jadie" Davidson, 58, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012. He was born on May 17, 1954 in Daviess Co., KY. He was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church where he was a member of the Men's Club. He was employed at Applied Industrial Technologies in Owensboro and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He loved golfing, fishing, cookouts, spending time with family and friends, his dog Chester, listening to music, and telling jokes. Jadie was a person who never met a stranger and was known by family and close friends as "Chickie". He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen McGrath Davidson, a sister, Sally Marshall, and his mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Henry Thompson.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Carol Thompson Davidson, two sons, Brandon Davidson of Louisville and Ben Davidson of Owensboro, two daughters, Brittany Davidson of Owensboro and Angela (Brad) Rogers of Owensboro, six sisters, Peggy (Harry) Bellew, Barbara (Ed) Tichenor, Julie Newton, and Nora (Jess) Mattingly, all of Owensboro, Sissy (David) Dunbar of Columbia, S.C., and Jane (Jim) Bickett of Morganfield, his extended family, Mike (Karen) Thompson, Chip (Maria) Thompson, and Julie Thompson, all of Owensboro, Hank (Penny) Thompson of Morgantown, Connie (Rick) Etienne of Newburgh, IN, Bonnie (Jim) DeCarli of Troy, IL, Brad (Leslie) Thompson of Newburgh, and Sheila (Jody) Castellini of Raton, N.M., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 18 at Immaculate Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
