James Harold Daugherty

James Harold Daugherty, 82, of Buford passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Ohio County Hospital. Born in Daviess County on April 27, 1929, he was the son of the late Calvin and Vivian Clark Daugherty and was a mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Elaine Hall and Louise Neal and a brother, Calvin Daugherty.

Surviving are his daughters, Deborah (Larry) Andrews of Fontana, CA and Kathy Lynn (Ron) Garber of Peach Tree City. GA; his grandson and side-kick, Brock Andrews of Fontana; step-grandsons, Chris Garber of Greensboro, NC and Jeremy Garber of San Diego; brothers, Milton (Peggy) Daugherty of Hawesville and Alfred "Woody" (Faye) Daugherty of Madison, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private with Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory handling the arrangements. There will be a reception for friends and neighbors to join family to celebrate Mr. Daugherty's life at his niece's home, 5560 Hwy 136, Hartford, KY 42347 from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011.
