James Marvin Jimmy Curtis, 57, of 1501 Jackson Street, Owensboro, died Tuesday, May 1 at his home. Born in Owensboro, a son of the late Virgil, Sr. and Rexie Acuff Curtis, Jimmy was a retired iron worker and a member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, and Ornamental Iron Worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Pete Curtis and Tommy Curtis and his sister, Donna Curtis.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Curtis; his children, Angelia Gail Finch and her husband John of Gallatin, TN, and his sons, Joshua Justin J.J. Camp and his wife Kellie of Whitehouse, TN, and Matthew James Curtis and Larry Keown, both of Owensboro; his brothers, Billy Curtis and Virgil Buggs Curtis, Jr., both of Owensboro; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friday.
