James Coppage, 66, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born May 3, 1942 to the late Bethel and Katie Lewellen Coppage in Ohio County. He had been a member of Beech Valley United Methodist Church and was a Veteran of the Army.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lee Todd Coppage, and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; his daughter, LaTonya of Fordsville, three step-children, Stacy Chaffin, Tracy Drewry and Michael Drewry, all of Owensboro; twelve grandchildren; three brothers, Finis Coppage of Philpot, David and Hoover Coppage, both of Ohio County; two sisters, Betty Smith of Ft. Smith, AK, and Rose Evitts of Beaver Dam; several nieces and nephews.
Services and visitation will be private. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of James Coppage, c/o of Sandra Coppage, 2001 McFarland Ave., Owensboro, KY 42301.
