James Cook

James C. (J.C.) Cook was born July 23, 1917 to Finley and Edna Cook in Philpot, Ky. and died February 1, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System.
He was a lifetime member of Friendship Baptist Church and choir member for over 60 years.
He was a longtime member of Daviess County Lions Club and enjoyed working the gate at the fairgrounds.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Agnes , and granddaughter Rebekah Cook.
Survived by a daughter Florence (Raymond) Bratcher, a son James "Bud" (Nancy) Cook both of Philpot, Ky. 4 grandsons Perry Bratcher, Jeff (Angie) Bratcher, Rory (Joy) Bratcher, Buddy (Danna) Cook, 4 great grandchildren, Leah Smith, Rebekah Cook, Jessica Cook and Luke Bratcher. Two step great grandchildren, Nick and Kalib Selby.
The funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation is Tuesday 2-8:00 PM and after 8:30 AM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations to the Daviess Lions Club, c/o Ray McElroy, Treasurer, 2933 Turfway Drive Owensboro, KY 42303.
Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be left at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
