James Arnold Conder

James Arnold Conder, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Carmel Home. He was born June 9, 1935 in Daviess Co., KY to the late James William and Sarah Agnes Clark Conder. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence "Smokey" Conder and wife Ozetta, Tommy Conder and wife Lucille, and Edward Conder and wife Lucy, a great grandson, Carson Michael Conder, and a brother-in-law, Carl Logsdon.

Mr. Conder attended St. Francis Academy and graduated from St. Mary of the Woods High School in Whitesville. He worked at V. E. Anderson and retired from the United States Postal Service. He had served on the board of directors of the Owensboro Federal Credit Union. Mr. Conder was an avid U.K. basketball fan, enjoyed playing music, and sang in country music bands for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Teresa Kathleen Howe Conder, two sons, Michael Wayne Conder and wife Toni Renee, and Robert Allen Conder, all of Owensboro, grandchildren, Chad, Matthew, and Jacob Conder, Crystal Ray, Tyler and Chase Logsdon, several great grandchildren, a sister, Teresa Logsdon of Fordsville, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Conder of Evansville, IN.

Services will be Noon Thursday, September 29, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial following in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday with prayers at 6:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
