James Edward "Jim" Clark, of Sussex Place, Owensboro, died Thursday, May 01, 2008, at his home. He was born March 7, 1928 to the late James Edward Clark, Sr. and Mary Ella Rudy Clark in Fayette County, KY. He was a member of Owensboro Christian Church, a State Farm Agent for 50 years, and an Army Veteran serving in the Army of Occupation in Japan. He graduated with a B.S. Degree from Western Kentucky University, was past president of the Owensboro Family YMCA, past president of the Owensboro Civitan Club, past Lt. Governor of the Kentucky Civitan Club, and past president of Owensboro Sales and Marketing Executives Club.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Susan Clark; his son, Steve Clark and his wife, Pat of Tucker, GA, his daughter, Mary Pat English and her husband, Dan Blanchard of Geneva, IL; a step-daughter, Kim Johnson and her husband, Steve of Whitesville; four grandchildren, Kevin Clark, Brian Clark, Jacob Johnson and Nicole Johnson; one brother, Joseph Clark and his wife, Christine of Carmel, IN.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, at the Owensboro Christian Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and after 9:00 AM Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owensboro Christian Church, 2818 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303 or Hospice and Palliative Care, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.
