James G. "Jim" Clark, 59, of 2868 Fairview Dr., Owensboro passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Bernard Joseph and Dorothy Starks Clark. He was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and had been a sheetmetal worker for Rayco Sheetmetal and Hagerman Plumbing and Heating Co. He was a U. S. Army veteran with the 25th Infantry Division Lightening Brigade in the Viet Nam War. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He was the #1 fan of the WBKR Radio Morning Show and would call in to it often. Jim loved watching his son Justin play baseball and his daughter Jaime and granddaughter Katie participate in beauty contests. He also loved hunting and fishing, and talking to people. He never met a stranger. He was also preceded in death by a brother Billy Clark.
Jim was survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy, his four children, James "Jim" Clark and wife Danielle of Owensboro, Stacy Clark of Owensboro, Justin and Jaime Clark, at home, grandchildren that he had proudly adopted, and a grandchild Katelynn Clark, a brother, Bobby Clark and wife Betty, and four sisters, Betty Jo Payne and husband Billy, Martha Faye Hayden and husband Marvin, Judy Fischer, and Janice Goins, all of Owensboro, sisters-in-law, Carol Holmes of Owensboro, Linda Mattingly of LaGrange, Ky., and Pat Barrera of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 25 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial following in St. Anthony Cemetery at Browns Valley. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
