James H. "Jim" Bramschreiber, 57, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, surrounded by his family, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born April 13, 1959 in Owensboro.
Jim was partner and founder of 5 Acre Farm. He loved raising heirloom vegetables and farming in the garden. He was skilled in carpentry, a card carrying, life member of the Handyman Club of America, a fan of NASCAR and a friend to everyone he met. Jim was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Galatians 6:9- Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Jim is survived by his children, Amanda Bramschreiber and husband Jessie Summers, Craig Bramschreiber and his wife Melissa and U.S. Navy Electrician's Mate Second Class Luke Bramschreiber and his wife Caitlin; five grandchildren, Jaidan, Chance, Martin, Hadley and Hannah; his father, John Bramschreiber; his mother, Barbara Bell; a sister, Martha Crumbaker and husband Ron; four brothers, Terry Mathis and his wife Tammy, John K. Bramschreiber and his wife Tandy, Roy Bramschreiber and his wife Kay and Bob Bramschreiber; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, April 17 from 10 AM until 12:30 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The graveside service will be 1 PM Monday at Red Hill Cemetery in Utica.
