James Norman Bilbro

James Norman Bilbro, 91, of 3312 Surrey Dr., E. passed away at his home on Thursday, October 23, 2003. He was born in Ohio Co., Ky. and was a retired Owensboro City Police officer after 20 years of service. He was a member of Third Baptist Church, was a graduate of the former Hartford (KY) High School in 1930 where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He attended the University of Ky. on an athletic scholarship where he played football. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Auretha Bilbro, a son, Jim Bilbro of Browder, Ky. a daughter, Anna Sue Clayton of Owensboro, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 26, 2003, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Sunday at the funeral home.
