James Loyd Banks

James Loyd Banks passed away on October 22, 2018. He was born on April 9, 1931 near Lewisport to the late Mary Eula Roberts and Francis Clifton Banks, Sr. He was a member of Lewisport United Methodist Church. Retired from USAF after 20 years of service during the Korean and Vietnam era. He was a helicopter crewman and after retirement he worked as a heating and a/c service tech for Hagerman Plumbing.

He was proceeded in death by his brothers, Russell and W.B. Banks.

Suriviors include his wife, Joyce Freitag Banks, originally from Albany, Oregeon. One daughter, Teresa K. Wilson and son-in-law, Rev. R. Tom Wilson of Burkesville, Ky. One son, Alan Banks of Lewisport; grandchildren, Janece Hite Parsons and husband, Eddie, of La Grange, Ky.; Justin Wilson of Louisville; brother, Clifton Banks, Jr. (Ellen) of Fordsville; Emma and Ethan Parsons, great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

Services will be private. The family requests any donations be made to the United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
