James Aubrey Miller, 90, of Maceo, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born in Owensboro to the late Martin L. and Maude Lewis Miller.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Patty Ann Thompson Miller in July 2024.
James is survived by daughters, Lisa (Billy) Wilson, Suzanne (John) Ford and Jamie Miller; grandchildren, Cara Merritt, Alexandra Ford, Ashley Wilson and Sara Morton; and nine great-grandchildren.
As a young man James served his country in the United States Air Force. He spent his life caring and providing for his family, retiring from W.R. Grace. He was always there to help with any project. James loved the Lord and was passionate about sharing the gospel with others. He cared for everyone around him and helped repair many-a-car and home. His legacy as a kind and godly man will live on through his family.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens with Dr. James Wedding officiating. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
