Jacqueline Jaskolski, 93, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Frasnes-Lez-Cousin, Belgium, to the late Ferdinand and Yvonne Peche Lagneau. Jacqueline was a long-time member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and loved to travel. Jacqueline also liked to gamble and play cards, and loved being the boss (giving orders).
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edward Jaskolski; and a brother, Jean Lagneau.
Those left here to cherish her memory are her very dear long-time friend, Francoise Grant of Owensboro, who was like a sister to her; god-daughter, Charlotte Walker of San Antonio, TX; god-son, Edward Calhoun of San Antonio, TX; her adopted family, Jimmy, Sandy, Matt, Melissa and J.D. Hayden of Owensboro; and Diane and Jeff Pepper and Andrea Wright of Cincinnati, OH; friends, Genevieve Adams, Pam Tooley and Rita Lead.
Jacqueline's friends and family would like to give a special thank you to each and everyone involved in her care from Heritage Place, Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, and Hospice of Western Kentucky.
The service will be 12 pm on Friday, June 16 at St. Stephen Cathedral with Fr. John Vaughan officiating. Visitation will start at 10 am at the church. Entombment will follow at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery.
