Jacob Price Shelton

Jacob Price Shelton, 54, of Utica passed away on June 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky to William and Katie (Vanhook) Shelton.

Jacob was a retired electrician who had enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and socializing with friends. He was of the Catholic Faith and attended Catholic Schools throughout his childhood.

Jacob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Beth Ann Shelton of Utica; daughters, April Valentino of Schenectady, NY, Allison Harrelson (Rob) of Atlanta, GA and Dana Webb (Jason) of St. Petersburg, FL; a son, Randy Myers of Schenectady, NY; Parents, Bill and Katie Shelton of Utica, KY; grandchildren, Rosarie and Angelina Valentino, Carlita, Madison and Avarielle Webb; sister, Kisha Adamic (John) of Rockport, IN; brother, Steve Shelton of Utica, KY; mother in law, Jan Tatu of Fayetville, GA; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, including his "Matt-Matt Buddy". He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Buck and Buster Shelton and Brody Harrelson.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 3 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Fr. John Meredith will officiate. Burial will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 3 until 7 pm with prayers at 6 pm and on Tuesday after 12 Noon at the funeral home.
