Jacky Jackson, 70, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, June 25, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born December 1, 1954, to the late Basil Jackson and Shirley Brothers. Jacky dedicated over 30 years of his life as the business owner of Midwest Insulation & Supply Inc., where he earned the admiration of many for his work ethic and commitment to excellence. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his genuine nature; Jacky was known as a simple man with a big heart who had a love for the little things in life. He enjoyed restoring old cars, going to car shows with friends, and having lunch every Friday with his best buddies. Jacky loved sitting on his porch watching the animals in the backyard, savoring GD Ritzy’s butter pecan ice cream, and relaxing after a long day with Fox News or the History Channel. His beloved cat Leonard was always by his side. Known for his generosity, Jacky would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He’ll be remembered for his kindness, his loyalty, and his love for a good conversation about politics. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Jacky is preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Jackson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Kristie Westerfield (Mike); fiancé, Sharon; sisters, Sandy Millay, Robin Cole (Don), and Debbie Curry; grandchildren, Raegan Hoover, Emree Hoover, Keelee Westerfield, and Parker Westerfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Jacky will be 2 PM Tuesday, July 1, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
