Jackie Herschel Boone

Jackie H. Boone, 81, of Pleasant Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born January 2, 1945 in Daviess County to the late Bernard and Ona Davis Boone. Jackie was in the Body Shop business for about 66 years and eventually became the owner and operator of Boone’s Body Shop in Pleasant Ridge. He enjoyed coon hunting and hunting in general and loved spending time with his family. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Linda Ann Boone; two sons, Timothy Boone and wife Leann of Pleasant Ridge and Michael Boone and wife Tina of Hartford; six grandchildren, Ashley Kassinger (Chris), Blake Boone (Shelby), Tyler Boone, Chase Boone (Brittany), Mikala Boone, and Karissa Boone; six great grandchildren, Carsen, Corbin, Averie, Ava, Dake, and Tate, ; and sister, Linda Joyce Finley (Larry) of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday August 21, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Bells Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 1:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
