Jack A. Vick, 83, of Owensboro, passed away July 1, 2025. He was born July 25, 1941, in Louisville to the late Homer and Cynthia Vick. Jack was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High School and spent many years, professionally as a Concrete Contractor. He found pleasure in being around friends and family and loved to barbecue and have get-togethers. Jack was the life of the party and loved to dance, sing, and had an incredible and unforgettable laugh and smile. He touched the lives and made friends with just about everyone he came across. Jack was a member of Christ Community Church.
Jack never met a stranger and found pleasure in being outdoors. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was well known in the race community for his love of dirt track racing and his oversight of Windy Hollow Speedway for nearly 10 years. He was a proud member of the Local VFW Post 696. In the latter part of his life, Jack was surrounded by an enormous amount of love from family and friends that was filled with many adventures and memories for his family to hold in their hearts. Above all, Jack was a family man with a love that was bigger than his personality.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Vick, along with five sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalind Vick; children, Jaqueline (Tim) Hungate; Mark (Brenda) Vick, Christina Vick, Robert (Shannon) Vick, Brian (Tonya) Vick; step-children, Shawna (Kevin) Ruschmann and Christina Schroader; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and one on the way, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
