Jack Liles, 69, of 3819 Lovell Drive, Owensboro, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born March 15, 1934 to the late Erwin and Lola Tapp Liles in Poole, KY. He owned and operated Liles Wheel Alignment in Owensboro and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a Kentucky Colonel, and enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball, UK basketball, and watching his grandchildren play ball. He also enjoyed World War II history, and racing hydroplanes.

He is survived by his former wife and best friend of 29 years, Brenda Josie Edge of Owensboro, a son, Richard Kent Liles of Owensboro; three daughters, Jackie Lee Snyder of Mt. Vernon, IL, Lori Bittel of Chattanooga, TN, and Jenny Hardesty of Philpot; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Baxter Liles, Zach and Rachel Snyder, Erin, Alex, and Abby Bittel, Olivia and Isaac Hardesty, and two brothers, Charlie Liles of Jennings, LA, and Glenn Liles of Clay, KY, and three sisters, Frances Hudson and Jane Marks of Providence, KY, and Sue Polley of Titusville, FL.

Funeral services are 10 A.M. Friday, February 6, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 5, 2004 and after 8:30 A.M. on Friday.
