Jack Ray Krauchi

Jack Ray Krauchi, 94, of Clarksville, Tennessee, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, under hospice care. The Indianapolis, Indiana native was born February 7, 1929, to the late Titus and Bernice Harold Krauchi. Jack served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he met his future wife, Annaliese Koeppl. He borrowed a friend’s car to drive to New York City to pick her up when she moved to America in 1953. Jack was recruited to work for an airline company which eventually became Delta performing many administrative and logistical tasks and moving from Indiana to California. Annaliese started her own beauty shop and Jack got into real estate owning many properties through the years. These vocations allowed them to retire early and begin travelling together. Eventually, they moved to Owensboro to help care for an aunt who was Jack’s only living relative and settled in Kentucky to spend the remainder of their days together.     

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 70 years, Annaliese, in July of this year; his Aunt Mary; and his best friend Doyle Morris.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his in-laws in Germany, nephew, Ewald (Claudia) Koeppl and great nephew, Sebastian (Sandra) Koeppl; Doyle’s wife, Becky Morris of Anaheim, CA; friends, Gary and Dana Anderson of Brea, CA and Danette and John Woodcock of Clarksville, TN with their children and grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery next to his wife.
