Jack L. Howland, 76, of Owensboro passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 13, 1937 in Evansville to the late John and Ada Howland.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nina Martha Howland; a brother, Lloyd Howland; and his sister, Mildred Gareaw.
Jack worked as an accountant at Zenith in Evansville for 30 years before joining Complete Lumber in Henderson where he worked until 2006. He was a lifelong Jehovah's Witness and was an Elder for 45 years. He received much joy from spending time with his family and being active in declaring the good news of Jehovah's Kingdom.
He is survived by his two daughters; Laura Menhennitt (Todd) of Owensboro and Angela Tyler (Jerrit) of Baroda, MI; his grandson, Jason Howland of Baroda; his step-granddaughter, Andria Tyler of Grand Rapids, MI; his step-great granddaughter, Annabell Tyler of Grand Rapids; his four sisters, Marie Tatsis ( Robert) of Live Oak Florida, Ann Smith of Evansville, Winifred Kelp of Florida and Audrey Trivett of Fredricksburg, VA.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Speaker Jay Pearson conducting services. Final arrangements entrusted to Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
