J. B. Render

J.B. Render, 88, of 530 Yale Place, Owensboro, Kentucky, died Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He worked at Faultless-Caster and at Chrysler in Evansville, IN during World War II. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, he had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years, was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid University of Kentucky fan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laveta Bowlds Render in 1951, by his second wife, Helen Croft Render in 1997, by his parents Emmett Render in 1973 and Jessie Boyd Render in 1976, and by two brothers, Walter Tomy Render in 1998 and Donald Wayne Render in 1976.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry J. and Evadine Render of Owensboro; three sisters, Adelle Jackson of Beaver Dam, Bettie Majors and Lucy Armstrong both of Owensboro; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Steve and Charlene Render of Owensboro; three step-grandchildren, Julie Chapman, Willie Masterson and Carolyn Farmer all of Owensboro; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Fay Render, Mary Kelly Render and Jeffrey Brett Render; and six step-great-grandchildren, Billy Masterson, Arty Masterson, Justin Varda, Jennifer Masterson, Amanda Farmer and Joshua Farmer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Phyllis Levandowski, Gary Jackson, Wayne Render, Kenny Render, Patty Jourdan and Susan Armstrong.

Services will be held at 11:30 Friday, January 30, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Waltons Creek Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be from 3-8 on Thursday, January 29 and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
