Ivle Edna Peek Stroud, 92, of La Plata, MD (formerly of Owensboro) passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2006. Mrs. Stroud moved to La Plata in 2002; was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensboro; was a dental assistant before and after World War II and had also worked with the telephone company. She was a master seamstress of clothes, furniture, and more, being very creative with designs. She won state prizes for her quilts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Geneva Blanchard Peek; four brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived a daughter, Dr. Belva Campbell of Port Tabacco, MD; a grandson, Adam (and his wife Sarah) Campbell; a great-grandchild, Noah G. Campbell; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 10 A.M. Monday, June 12, 2006 at Christ Chapel, Owensboro with Dr. David Nelson officiating. Glenn Funeral Home is handling arrangements. There will be no visitation.
