Ivan A. Davis, 78, of 4008 Jefferson St, Owensboro, died Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The McLean County native was a retired painter, security guard for Brescia University and had worked at TVA. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, former member of the Lourdes Men's Club; enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan G. Wimsatt Davis; a son, David C. Davis of Owensboro; two daughters, Angela C. Wilhite of Philpot and Alicia M. Burns of Nashville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10 A.M. Friday, February 22, 2002 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Thursday, February 21, 2002 and after 8:30 A.M. on Friday. Prayers will be said at 6 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
