Isabell Stuart Coy

Isabell Stuart Coy, 90, of Owensboro, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her home. Isabell was born in Belton, Kentucky to the late, Thomas Pennington and Eva Draper Stuart. She graduated from Hughes-Kirk High School in 1938. She retired from General Electric after 38 years as a tube inspector. Isabell was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church, taught Sunday school, and played piano. She was a good baker, gardener, quilt maker, financial advisor and encourager for all friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Coy, siblings, Franklin, T.W., Bob, and Lendle R. Stuart, Pauline Mowry, and Eva Mae Hayden, and a nephew, Billy Stuart.
Surviving is her siblings, Erma Hardison of Owensboro, Patsy Hammonds of Franklin, KY., Doris Tines, and Hutch McElwain of Bowling Green, sisters-in-law, Joyce Stuart of Owensboro and Nancy Kassinger of Georgia, nieces and nephews, Judy (Eddie) Stamper and Brenda (Jerry) Condor of Hartford, Frank (Jody) Stuart of Hammond, IN., Tom Stuart of Denver, CO., Rebecca (Steve) Grayson of Rome, GA., Laura (Stephen) Rickerson of Riceville, TN., Sandra Gordon of GA., and Charles Allen (Karen) Hayden, Sue (Gary) Netter, Mike (Marla)Hayden, Shannon Millay, Benita( Keith) Sutton, and Keith Stuart , all of Owensboro, several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. John Stamper officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
