Irvin Lee Dantic, 93, of 3612 War Admiral Drive, Owensboro, died May 2, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and was retired as a driver and dispatcher with the Yellow Cab Co. and also had formerly owned the Veteran Cab Co. He was a member of the Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church and was a member of the church Mens Club. He loved Major League Baseball especially the New York Yankees and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Georgia, 3 Sons, Randall Dantic of Eddyville, Ky. and Paul Thomas Dantic and James Dantic, both of Owensboro, 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 5, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 4. Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church, 1400 Breckenridge Street, Owensboro, Ky. 42303. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
