Irvin Connor, 74, of Evansville, IN. passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his home. He was born November 21, 1942 in Daviess County to the late Guy I. and Winona Elder Connor. Irvin loved working outside in his yard, going fishing, playing cards and hanging out with his friends which he ate with at a local diner in Evansville on a regular basis. He also enjoyed U.K. basketball, NASCAR and the N.Y. Yankees.
Irvin worked at Whirlpool and retired from there after 40 years of service.
Mr. Connor was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Pruden.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are a daughter, Tina Knott (Claude) of Philpot; a son, Scott Connor ( Debbie) of Whitesville; daughter, Terri Potts (Mark) of Owensboro; Mother of his children, Edna Howard Connor; Grandchildren, Amanda Morris (Josh), Jessica Wathen (Robert), Tara Groves (James), Emily Potts, and Kendal Connor; Great grandchildren, Aiden, Gavin, Maggie Morris, Easton Wathen, and Sawyer Groves who is expected May 2017; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog "Sport".
Irvin is also survived by a sister, Mildred Rhoades (Bob); brothers, Melvin Connor (Lois), Charles Connor, Gilbert Connor (Barbara), Guy Connor (Linda), and Darrell Connor (Sharon).
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday April 13th, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Fr. Emmanuel Udoh officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3p.m. - 8p.m. and on Thursday from 10a.m. till the time of service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the love and care of his longtime companion, "Sport", in care of Terri Potts.
