Irma Mae Green

Irma Mae Green, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday January 23, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on September 11, 1931 in a farm house in West Salem, Ohio to the late Bryan Wesley and Ruth Pearl Schaad Dreiblebis. She graduated from Congress School in West Salem in 1949. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and was retired from the Swedish Match Co. and also had worked at General Electric Co. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Green on July 3, 1993, and seven brothers and sisters, Robert (Jim), Donald (Bum), Harold (Pat), and Claire (PeeWee) Dreiblebis, and Mary Buxton, Martha Weaver, and Edna Buchanan.

Surviving are three sisters, Phyllis Swain of Ashland, OH, Bonnie Geiser of Reynoldsburg, OH and Janet Biddinger of Talihina, Oklahoma, numerous nieces and nephews, and her caregivers and best friends, Eva Nell Sumner and Maranda Hall, both of Owensboro.

Services will be 12 Noon Friday, January 27, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Thursday with prayers at 6:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
