Inez Louise Lanham

December 3, 1914 — February 7, 2007

Inez Louise Lanham, 92 of 411 East Fourth Street, Owensboro, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mrs. Lanham was born in Evansville to the late Charles Volk and Mary Delora (Hayden) Alvey. The loving wife and mother was co-founder and past secretary-treasurer of Lanham Electric Inc. She was member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, and was a longtime member of the altar society there, a charter member of the Owensboro Area Quilters Guild. She was also a 92 year old cheerleader for U.K. and enjoyed music and bird watching at Rough River.

Mrs Lanham was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Anthony Lanham on March 6, 2003 and her daughter in law, Gae Lanham on September 6, 2005, and several of her siblings.

Survivors include daughters, Deanna and Chester Kaminski, Marian J. Lanham, of Owensboro, Tonya and Scott Lewis of Colorado Springs , Colorado, her sons, David Scott and Emmalena Lanham of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Michael W. Lanham of Tucson, Arizona, and Randal A. Lanham of Rough River, Kentucky, grandchildren, Dennis, Joseph, Steven and Christopher Kaminski, Michael, Keith and Aaron Lanham, Stephanie Reeves, Kyle, John, Patrick and Teresa Lewis, Eva Kate Wilson, and J. D. Tichenor, two sisters, Myrle Merimee and Mary Medley, both of Owensboro, her great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m .Monday, February 12, 2007 at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday February 11th from 1 to 6 p.m. with prayers at 5:30 p.m., and also after 9 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Sts. Joseph and Paul Restoration Fund.
