Ines Vonettia Banken Conway

Ines Vonettia Banken Conway, 70, of Owensboro passed away on Monday September 26, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System.
Mrs. Conway was born in Ohio County, Kentucky on August 20, 1941 the daughter of the late Henry Sorrels and Ethel Stewart Sorrels, she was preceded in death by her first husband Raymond Thomas Banken in 1980.
Mrs. Conway is a member of the Apollo Heights Baptist Church in Owensboro, and she worked at One Park Place, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Conway is survived by her loving husband of 27 years Ernest,; four daughters Doris Jean Callahan of Owensboro, KY,; Brenda Lee Filback and her husband Tony of Owensboro, KY,; Patricia Ann Horlander of Owensboro, KY and Kathy Jo Shock and her husband Terry of Owensboro, KY,; one son Raymond Thomas Banken of New Port Richey, FL,; one brother James Adell Sorrels and one sister DeLora Mourine Romans both of Evansville, IN two stepdaughters Kimberly Jean Beard and Amy Nicole Evans both of Owensboro, KY nine grandchildren, Jamie Gaynor, Wes Horlander, Quinten Shock, Dakota Shock, Joleta Shock, Amanda Velotta and Megan Filback all of Owensboro and Casey and Alex Banken of New Port Richey, FL,; one great granddaughter Maxleigh Shock of Owensboro, KY,; three step-granddaughters, Jasmine Beard, Kelsey Reynolds and Ciara Reynolds all of Owensboro, KY.
Funeral services for Mrs. Conway will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday September 29, 2011 at Apollo Heights Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY with the Rev. Jerry Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday September 28, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glenn funeral Home & Crematory and from 10:00 AM until service time Thursday September 29, 2011 at Apollo Heights Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Apollo Heights Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society, the envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
