Imogene J. Parker

Imogene J. Parker, 87, of Fern Terra, Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born March 13, 1927 in Muhlenburg Co., to the late Orville Ed and Myrtle Mae Camp Jamison. She was retired after 50 years with South Central Bell Co. and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Imogene was of the Catholic faith and was a devoted mother and grandmother loving to spend time with her family. She enjoyed the fellowship with her friends and family at Fern Terra, was an avid U.K. basketball fan, and loved cooking. She had a great sense of humor, always was a strong and very independent person, and was loved by everyone that met her. She also was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters, Orville Ed Jamison, Mabel Shelton, Opal Melton, Nessa Warren, and Gertrude Crowder.

Imogene is survived by her two daughters, Sherri P. Schrecker and fianc Doug Goetz and Talea Gene Parker Myers and husband Mark, all of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Jarrod Keith Ramsey and wife Dana of Bowling Green and Eric Paul Lott and wife Magan of Owensboro, and six great grandchildren, Kassidy, Jonah, Luke, Lydia, Andrew, and Levi Ramsey.

Services will be 12 Noon Thursday, February 5, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
