Ilene B. Pinkston

Ilene Bartlett Pinkston, 89, of Heartland Villa in Lewisport, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born April 28, 1927 in Ohio Co. to the late Rosel Bartlett and Pearl Bozarth Crowe. Ilene was the former co-owner of X-L Welding Co. and was a member of Good Shepherd Church. She loved being on the water, working wordfind books, her dogs, and spending time with her family. She also loved working in the business with her husband and living life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. "Bill" Pinkston in 1981, a daughter, Starlee Menzel in 2007, and two brothers, Larry and Alva D. Bartlett.

Surviving are four daughters, Sandra Mattingly and husband Sam of Lewisport, Bertha Knight and husband William A. of Owensboro, Alice Curnutt of McKenzie, TN, and Donna Pinkston of Lewisport, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, two brothers, Edgar Bartlett of Pleasant Ridge and Billy Bartlett of Maceo, a sister, Jacqulyn Pollard of Las Vegas, NV and Aunt, Margaret Ball of Hartford, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Noon Saturday, December 31, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Friday and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Heartland Villa for all the loving care they provided Mrs. Pinkston.
