Ida Sue Christian

Ida Sue Knight Christian, 76, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Owensboro Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 10, 1933 in McLean Co., Ky. to the late Mark and Ollie Watkins Howard. She was retired from the General Electric Co. Small Motors Plant after 31 years having retired in March of 1991. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church which she loved and was very active. She was in the Seniors Choir and Seniors Bible Study Class. She loved spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren's sports activities, and her cats. She enjoyed the "Wheel of Fortune" show, flower gardening, and reading. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ben Knight, and six brothers and sisters, Floyd Howard, Everett Howard, Larry Howard, J. C. Howard, Ruth Cabbage, and Gwen Case.

Surviving are her husband of 10 years, Gerald L. "Jerry" Christian, three sons, Butch Knight and wife Dorothy of Owensboro, Steve Knight and wife Donna of Orlando, FL, and Mike Knight and wife Pam of Owensboro, four grandchildren, Geoff, Josh, and Luke Knight, and Amanda Rumage, a great grandson, Cameron Daugherty, a brother, Dale Howard and wife Lillian of Utica, and a sister, Cloia Campbell of Murray, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 11, at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
